Whose Am I? My God-Defined Self

Our world is dominated with the mindset of being Self-Defined. With no touchstone, where identity is in constant flux, where choices create a changing self. Often asking “Who Am I?” God’s plan was always to be in a relationship with those He created. A God-Defined Self asks “Whose Am I?” They look to god to guide choices. God is part of decisions always looking to who God made them to be–a person with a fixed identity and a person with a free will. God creates us into a God-Defined Self through his amazing transformation, working with the Holy Spirit to become like our Savior, Jesus Christ. To be free to give and receive love from God and others.

Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters,[a] whenever you face trials of many kinds,  because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance. Let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything.

James 1:3-5
