Ever wonder what it takes to be strong? to take a stand? to be a Joshua? Ephesians 6:10-18 gives us a step by step preparation plan to be ready and able to stand firm against all opposition from evil and the master of evil. Take a new look at how to soldier up and get all your soldier gear on to fight our soul’s enemy and the world that divides us from God’s power.  When Paul concluded his letter (Ephesians) he was not making suggestions. These were the commands of someone who knew how to fight against what was trying to destroy him.  Truth: the Belt of Truth binds the rest of our armor together. Righteousness: the Breastplate of Righteousness protects all that is vital in us. Peace-giving Gospel: The Shoes of Peace through the glorious Good News. Faith: the Shield of Faith against attacks against Who and What we put our trust in.  Salvation: the Helmet of Salvation protects and focuses our minds on knowing we are victorious already in Jesus. The Word of God: The Sword of the Spirit penetrate through our enemy’s lies. Then suited up and starting each day with prayer, we are ready to see what God will do through us.

At all times, pray by the power of the Spirit. Pray all kinds of prayers. Be watchful, so that you can pray. Always keep on praying for all the Lord’s people.
