The disciples were waiting – Jesus asked them to wait. 50 days! Waiting on God’s perfect timing. He gave them, He gave us the Holy Spirit, His powerful gift Who created the Church, He draws people to believe, Who sustains and builds each one of us. Waiting is hard–praying and encouraging each other–waiting is risky. As we wait and pray and stay connected to each other, God uses this time to mature and grow each person. He enables us to be in sync with Him more and more. Waiting involves taking risks. And trust. But it does require boldness to act, to have confidence to speak His Word knowing He can do more than we can ever expect.
But Peter and John replied, “Do you think God wants us to obey you rather than him? We cannot stop telling about everything we have seen and heard…all the believers lifted their voices together in prayer to God: “O Sovereign Lord, Creator of heaven and earth, the sea, and everything in them— you spoke long ago by the Holy Spirit
