What does it mean to be a servant in the way Jesus served? How does it feel if you’ve chosen to serve? If the servant wears shoes by Prada does it matter? Two great truths create a mindset for serving: You are a child of God, adopted into His family to be a part of His work. And, Christ is King. He is the Ruler of our lives. There are many examples of God’s servants in Scripture. King David saw himself as God’s child, and as God’s servant. In his Psalms he referred to himself as God’s servant 50 times. His heart was for his Lord God.  Look to his example: Servants of our God know they are forgiven. Servants of our God are confident in their serving. Servants of our God find success. Are you a servant of the Living God? And it doesn’t matter what shoes you wear!

My heart is confident in you, O God;
