When we as a church embrace our purpose–to love others as God loves them and to seek those who are lost–we need to reframe our question. What are people looking for? and that we can offer them? The world is restless. They don’t recognize that God can bring them rest. They are searching for a purpose. Jesus has that purpose. What are people needing, wanting as their purpose? Jesus proclaimed this: I came to tell you about the kingdom of God. It’s not the way of the world. It’s being loved and forgiven.

The time has come,” he said. “The kingdom of God has come near. Repent and believe the good news!
