Take Courage; Do the Impossible

(prayer begins 20:50) (message begins 29:50)  Matthew 6:9-15, Matthew 14

God Almighty made mankind to be in fellowship with Him. Jesus, the Son, taught us what that could look like. HE gave us the path to that relationship. Hours before the Son was crucified He prayed for this very gift–to be one with Him and the Father. The promise is this: when you seek Me I will draw you near to Me. The Son modeled the relationship: Listening, obeying, living a life of love. He taught us a prayer that gives us words to do just that. It begins with acknowledging Who the Father truly is–loving and protecting and providing. It instructs us to live a life of FORGIVENESS. To forgive again and again. Just as the loving Father forgives each of us. We are given high, unexpected standards. This is the true Kingdom of God; we pray for it to come to us. “Your Kingdom come, Your Will be done.” Impossible? Not at all. God gives us the desire and power. His Holy Spirit is ours. Empowers us.  Do the unpredictable, the courageous, the seemingly impossible to bring the Kingdom.
