The greatest connection, the opening of the door to God’s presence is when we open God’s Word. Care is needed on how we approach His Word, with careful, meaningful thinking. Good thinking.  Reading is an intellectual process. Come to it guarding our hearts against negative thinking–pessimism, hate, despair. Guarding our hearts against being vengeful or foolish or profane. Be honest and assess your efforts. Study and meditate on it with anticipation that the God of the Universe wants to know Him, wants to talk with you, longs for you to grow and change for blessings.  Make every effort Approach your time with hopeful desire to discover a message meant for what He longs for us to have–all His loving gifts.

Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a worker who does not need to be ashamed and who correctly handles the word of truth.

Work hard so you can present yourself to God and receive his approval. Be a good worker, one who does not need to be ashamed and who correctly explains the word of truth.
