(sermon starts at 17:00)
Have you wondered about the Holy Spirit? What is your own relationship with Him? Jesus taught His disciples a great deal about the third Person of the Trinity before His last hours here on earth. (John 15:26-27, John 16:4-15) The Holy Spirit is not a doctrine; the Holy Spirit is a Person who enters hurt lives. Will you let God revive your heart?
But very truly I tell you, it is for your good that I am going away. Unless I go away, the Advocate will not come to you; but if I go, I will send him to youJohn 16:7
Jesus teaches us that the Holy Spirit is our Advocate, the One who comes alongside us, to counsel and comfort us. He prays for us when it’s just too hard for us to say the words. Jesus teaches us that the Holy Spirit convicts us, loving us enough to tell us when we sin; He nudges, pushes us to the truth of our heading in the wrong direction.
But when he, the Spirit of truth, comes, he will guide you into all the truth. He will not speak on his own; he will speak only what he hears, and he will tell you what is yet to come.John 16:13
The work of the Holy Spirit is this–To Continue Jesus’ Work Through You. Healing, serving, being present with grace. The Holy Spirit wants to carry on the revelation of Christ through us. Have you had a personal pentecost?
