In the book of Judges, God teaches us what we must do when we are up against a Fearsome challenge or enemy. When God asks us a HUGE ask, He promises this: I the LORD will be with you. He is faithful. Always. In the story of Gideon God kept His promise to defeat the enemy under unspeakable odds that He set up, and Gideon obeyed. When God asks us to do the hard things, it’s all about our obedience. Obedience is the key to His miraculous action. When Jesus gives directions on what is coming He always offers His promises: I will be with You. Do not fear, be courageous, be strong. The LORD your God goes with you. Stand firm. I will strengthen you. I will uphold you. These promises are all throughout the scriptures. When we obey we are offered the glorious opportunity to participate in His miraculous work. Be available to work with the Lord. Welcome the Fearsome when it comes–He is trustworthy.

The Lord will keep you from every kind of harm.  He will watch over your life.  The Lord will watch over your life no matter where you go, both now and forever.
