The written Word of God is more than ink on paper–it can and will come alive for each person through the Holy Spirit. It is the best portal into the Presence of God, to meet Him in a real relationship. It gives us daily guidance, and a life wisdom but mostly it gives us God’s love and care. Still, people ask, “Is it true? Is it really true that we can meet the Lord God through His Word?”  Here’s the challenge: As humans we ruined this relationship from Day One. The heart of any relationship is TRUST. And humankind chose to not trust what God promised from Day One. Humankind’s enemy, God’s enemy found a way to destroy this trust. We have chosen other sources for answers, seeking answers to find knowledge from everywhere and everyone but the One who created us. This choice is the original sin. And continues to be our sin. We choose science, psychology, self, social media for our knowledge. Where do you go first? What is your primary source? Where do you go for a final ruling? The portal to God’s Presence starts with us longing to know Him and what He has to say.

Let the wise listen to these proverbs and become even wiser.
