Jesus teaches us to flourish when we read His words that encourage His disciples to become His branches. You were made in God’s image to thrive. Jesus encourages us teaches us to flourish by first allowing God the Father to be the gardener. Next to abide, to remain in Christ and be perpetually connected to Him. And then to learn how to bear fruit by love expressed and love reflected.
Quoting a Bible Verse
The righteous will flourish like a palm tree, they will grow like a cedar of Lebanon; planted in the house of the Lord, they will flourish in the courts of our God.Psalm 92:12-13
I am the true vine, and my Father is the gardener. He cuts off every branch in me that bears no fruit, while every branch that does bear fruit he prunes so that it will be even more fruitful. You are already clean because of the word I have spoken to you. Remain in me, as I also remain in you. No branch can bear fruit by itself; it must remain in the vine. Neither can you bear fruit unless you remain in me.John 15:1-4
There is no human work in vine dressing. Submit to the vine dressing. Our problem is control. Submitting is the process seeking to conform to the image of Christ. Have you given control to the gardener? Learn how to live so that to see someone else is to pray for them, to be there for them. When we abide in the Holy Word of God we are connected to the Holy Spirit and are becoming part of the Holy Church of God.
