Mary Magdalene was delivered from evil. She was not a prostitute. She was not Jesus’ mistress or wife. She was a woman full of demon evil and was freed forever from her torment. Christ chose to show his resurrected self to her first before any others. She was connected to Christ as her savior from torment. And she learned that she could continue to be connected to Christ as her Savior from sin, her past, and everything in the world that hurt her forever. In the darkness of the morning and of her heart she just waited, cried and wondered who had taken her Friend away. When Jesus spoke her name everything was changed.
